- Pink Flowers Kup Kollar on iced tea glass
Colleen joined us for breakfast at The Peak Grill on one of her visits. When the waitperson put the hot syrup container on the table, Colleen pulled her cup wrap from her purse and slipped it onto the container to keep the syrup hot for our pancakes!

Because Colleen’s idea worked so well, I sewed a Kup Kollar for myself to match my large Pancake Kap. Pouring hot syrup onto a hot granola pancake from The Peak Grill makes a great breakfast even better!

After I told Perry we needed to buy more brown mustard for his cheese snacks, he recalled his German grandma used to make spicy German mustard when he was a little boy. I searched online for recipes so I could surprise him.
I found a great spicy German mustard recipe. After following the easy directions, I poured the mixture and vinegar into my Cuisinart SmartPower Duet blender, where it needed to sit for 24 hours before blending. I put the lid on the blender, but it didn’t stop the pungent odor of vinegar from filling the kitchen. I set my little gray cells to work trying to solve the problem. I thought of my coffee cozy for our French press, put it over the blender, and stopped the vinegar smell!
Perry loved the mustard! He uses it with cheese and crackers, breakfast egg sandwiches, and salad dressings. I’ve added the recipe to my book of favorites!

Our favorite Asian cuisine restaurant in Colorado Springs is Shangri-La owned by Doug and Ilene, who are the original owners of Bamboo Court. Shangri-La is located at 8850 North Union Blvd, Colorado Springs. Tel: (719) 495-1738.
When we dine at Shangri-La, we bring our Asian Floral Tea Tabard (tea cozy), Perry’s chopsticks, and chopstick holder. Our delicious Jasmine tea stays hot the entire meal!
This is my favorite soup – Egg Drop soup. Perry enjoys his bowl of Hot and Sour with a hotter kick!

My husband had his 20 ounce ceramic mug filled with his favorite Sumatra estate coffee sitting on his desk. I noticed he had put his small Koffee Kozee (coffee cozy) for his French press coffee maker over his mug to hold in the heat. Perry told me the it worked well as a mug cosy!
One of my favorite drinks is hot juice with mulling spices. I make mine using all natural spices from Olde Tradition Spice. They carry small spice bags that are used like tea bags. Their products contain no preservatives, sugar, or caffeine. I fill a very large mug with hot cranberry juice, put in a bag, cover the mug with my small Koffee Kozee, and enjoy while I knit!

From Mary in Texas:
“I just used my Kup Kap for something new. HOT FUDGE!!! I came into to check my email with my lunch on a tray. Lunch consisted of strawberries, banana, cheese, pretzels and hot tea. I was trying to go healthy, but as an afterthought, I decided to warm up some hot fudge for dipping the fruit. Naturally I wanted to keep the hot fudge warm as long as possible so, “what to the rescue?” My Kup Kap! Thought you’d enjoy the idea. I know how much you love hot fudge!”

Betty in Florida is a member of the Red Hat Society and a Koffee Kompanions customer. She used Kup Kollars (cup sleeves) and Kup Kaps (cup lids) in a red hat fabric print for door prizes at her Red Hat Society luncheon. Then she emailed with a very unusual request!
“I was wondering if you ever make your Tea Tabard in a Red Hat print. I am the youngest member of my Red Hat Society group and I’m always looking for ways to give my ladies a chuckle. I thought since we’re having a Tea Party that I would definitely give them a hoot with a Tea Tabard for a hat. I have a kid size head so I think a small Tea Tabard would work.”
When Betty gives a Tea Tabard (tea cozy) for a gift, she shares comments she receives about the cozies.
“Your Koffee Kompanions are truly great and I take it from the newsletter they’re MADE IN THE USA. I forgot to tell you that my British daughter-in-law loved the one I got for her Fergie tea pot with matching tea cozy.”
“I bought my first Tea Tabard four years ago when I was visiting my daughter who had just had a baby. It was for a friend who had spent four years in Scotland and loved her tea but sometimes had to warm it up before she was able to drink it. She still has it and loves it dearly!”

Two days before hiking in Lair o’ the Bear Park, I put a 6 ounce carton of Horizon Organic Yogurt in my freezer. On the day of our hike, I removed it and slipped it into a Kup Kollar. The cup sleeve keeps small yogurt containers frozen for 4-8 hours. The yogurt was a healthy, delicious trail snack!
Dunafon Castle is located on a trail in Lair o’ the Bear Park. Marcus Wright broke ground for his unique home in 1927. Michael Dunafon and Debbie Matthews are the current owners. The castle’s history is joyful and tragic.
Dunafon Castle is 1300 square feet located on 17 acres. It has 14 rooms, a wine cave, courtyard, and a dungeon. There are trout lakes and a water wheel on the property. The tree house is a miniature castle with knights’ crests painted on the side!
This is the side yard along Bear Creek. The setting sun shining through the trees made Dunafon Castle look mystical. We felt as if we had stepped into a fairy tale and a brave knight would come riding toward us at any moment!

The Koffee Kozee (coffee cozy) is insulated with Thinsulate Insulation by 3M which is used in artic clothing and ice coolers. When you have a pitcher of iced coffee or tea, slip a Koffee Kozee on it to slow down the melting of the ice cubes. If you use the beverage to make ice cubes, your drink will stay tastier even longer!

When I order a large pancake at The Peak Grill, I always ask for a second napkin to cover the pancake to keep it warm while I eat my eggs and bacon. Recently, a waitperson suggested I make a large size lid (Kup Kap) like Perry had on his coffee mug to cover my pancake. He said it as a joke but I took him seriously!
My Pancake Kap is made out of a pink print with breakfast items and foods on it. My Kup Kollar (cup sleeve) is keeping my iced tea cold and Perry’s Kup Kap (cup lid) is keeping his coffee hot. We enjoyed our breakfast as usual!
