Denver, CO - more about yarnharlot
These are the socks I wore to the book signing. Last September, I went to the Beehive Wool Shop, a hundred year old yarn shop in Victoria, Canada. I bought hand dyed, Canadian wool yarn by Fleece Artist, choosing a skein for Pam and one for me. I gave both to Pam so she could knit each of us a pair of socks.
I LOVE my socks! After I slip into my shoes, I feel like I'm wearing soft slippers. I never knew hand knitted socks could be so comfortable. They are a real motivation for me to learn how to knit socks!
Before the book signing, we went to a yarn shop and ate dinner at the Old Blinking Light. The food was delicious! I ordered Ranch Salad Mixed Greens with chicken, dates, scallions, goat cheese, avocado, and rice wine vinaigrette. The salad was a wonderful mix of sweet and sour flavors. I drank iced-tea with lemon and used my cup cozy to slow the ice melting from the warm Colorado sunshine.
The book is special because Perry bought it for me on one of his business trips soon after I began knitting. Yarnharlot's signature in the book will remind me of a special evening with my knitting friends!
