Denver Day Trip – Roostercat Coffeehouse and Coda Coffee Company

My husband and son are very important to me but there is another man who is also very important. That man is my hair stylist. Every few weeks, Perry and I drive north for my hair cut appointment with John Gonzales, one of two owners of Salon Onze in Denver, Colorado.

If we arrive early for my appointment, we walk to a comfortable coffee shop called Roostercat Coffeehouse. It’s spacious so you don’t feel like you’re sitting with a stranger. The staff is very friendly, answer questions, and fill every request on drink prep.

I really like the light wood décor and art hanging on the walls. The tables are large for computer work, knitting, or whatever you decide to focus on.

Thinsulate insulated Kup Kollars on 12 ounce hot and cold take-out cups.

Roostercat uses coffee from Coda Coffee Company, a Denver roaster for twenty-two years. Perry said his cappuccino was excellent. I loved my iced café mocha with Ghirardelli chocolate syrup and coconut milk. I had a couple of bites of Perry’s poppy seed lemon scone before walking to my hair appointment.

For those who like to enjoy their beverages outdoors, Roostercat has a fire pit to keep you warm on a cool autumn day. If you’re on Lincoln Street near 1st Ave. in Denver, stop in seven days a week opening at 7:00 am on weekdays and 8:00 am on weekends. They close at midnight. It’s a great place to go with friends!
