Jamba Juice coffee and tea smoothies

Thinsulate insulated Kup Kollars hold in the cold, longer.

I tried coffee and tea smoothies at Jamba Juice today. I didn’t care for the Matcha Green Tea Blast, blended with soymilk, nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt, plain sorbet, ice and powdered Matcha Green tea. The tea smoothie was full-flavored so if you like the ingredients, I suggest giving it your own taste test.

I enjoyed the Mocha Mojo coffee smoothie very much! It’s blended with organic coffee base, soymilk, nonfat frozen yogurt, chocolate moo’d base, and ice. The strong coffee and chocolate tastes are nicely blended. I asked the server what the word “moo’d” meant. He told me it was a play on words combing “moo” and “mood”. Clever!

Aladdin travel tumbler with Tools Kup

No matter what drink is in your RV cup holder, an insulated Kup Kollar will hold in heat or cold, longer while you’re on the road. Designed with Thinsulate Insulation by 3M, the cup sleeve acts as a winter coat or a mini ice chest. After finishing your drink, store the cup wrap in the RV cup holder so you’ll always know where it is!

Ceramic travel mug with Hawaiian Teal Kup Kollar

Some folks enjoy their favorite hot brew in a ceramic travel mug. Find one with the handles located at the top part of the mug so the Kup Kollar will slip on the bottom part.

Water bottle with African Inspirations Kup Kollar

When you travel to various places in your RV, you’ll find water tastes different from your home water. Buying bottled water gives you a consistent taste. Keep it cold with a Kup Kollar.

Soda can with a Dandy Dogs Kup Kollar

The Kup Kollar wasn’t designed for soft drink cans. Using a rubber band will keep the cup wrap on the can so you can enjoy your cold soda longer!

Hot take-out cup with a Recycle Kup Kollar

When you need a caffeine fix, go through a drive-thru and order hot tea or coffee. Slip on a Kup Kollar so you can have your caffeine hot for at least forty-five minutes.

Cup sleeve and single tea brewing travel tumbler accessories for RV

Sunday, June 20th, 2010
The cup sleeve on the tumbler will hold in the heat longer, while brewing tea.

Using the Trudeau Tea-Riffic travel tumbler and insulated Kup Kollar is a great way for tea drinkers traveling the world in an RV to enjoy their brew.

Slip a washable Kup Kollar onto your double walled San plastic tumbler while waiting for the water to boil. Fill the tea infusion basket with loose tea or tea bags. The basket fits on the inside rim of the tumbler for brewing.

After brewing your tea, remove the infusion basket and put it in a small plastic bowl to cool.

After the infusion basket cools, empty the tea leaves or remove bags, then rinse the basket under the RV sink faucet.

Screw on the lid with slider for drinking, take the 16 ounce tumbler to the front of your RV, place in cup holder, and enjoy freshly brewed tea and the scenery!

The Cup & Crumpet at Fibersmyth in Woodstock, VA

Woodstock VA The Cup & Crumpet

One afternoon we walked to The Cup & Crumpet in Woodstock, VA for lunch and tea. We ordered a Pot for Two of their house blend loose tea. It was delicious and well brewed with no bitter taste. The tea was served with the proper equipment – tea strainer with holder, cream pitcher, and sugar bowl. The Asian floral Kup Kap was my tea equipment!

We ordered a hot bowl of tasty tomato bisque soup with chunks of tomatoes and onions floating in it. I felt adventurous and ate the sardine quiche. It was a nice blend of flavors and very moist with a flaky crust. Soups and quiche are made from scratch on site with the owners’ grown vegetables or bought organic vegetables.

Our tea was still hot when we ate our desserts because it was served in a teapot covered by a tea cozy. This was a real treat because tea cozies are rarely used in tea shops or restaurants.  The desserts change daily and are baked on site. I enjoyed a piece of Hummingbird Cake, a popular southern cake which may have originated from Jamaica. It’s a frosted banana cake filled with pineapple chunks and layered with cream cheese filling. Perry loved the traditional Bread pudding with rum sauce, one of his favorite desserts!

I experienced a second dessert when I walked into the next set of rooms and found a yarn shop called Fibersmyth. There is always room in the suitcase to take home new yarns!

Recyclable cup wraps and sleeves eliminate double cupping

recyclable cup sleeve wrap

Tea drinkers know that holding a paper take-out cup filled with hot tea is very uncomfortable if not impossible. Staff, serving at coffee and tea shops, double cup to protect customers’ hands. Sometimes a cardboard wrap is slipped on the two cups. If you use an insulated recyclable cup sleeve to protect your hands, you add only one paper cup to the planet’s garbage pile instead of two cups and a cardboard wrap.

If your favorite tea or coffee shop allows you to use your own mug, you have no paper cups to add to the garbage pile.

Recyclable cup wraps and sleeves for Earth Day April 22

Recycle Kup Kollar cup sleeve

Earth Day promotes awareness and appreciation for our planet. It’s a day to ask what you can do to help protect your environment. By using a recyclable cup sleeve, you save trees and don’t add to our huge landfills. Wrapping napkins around take-out cups or using a cardboard wrap doesn’t have the same effect. If you tell your friends about recyclable cup wraps, you help even more to protect our planet.

From Jennifer in Wisconsin: “Thank you! The cup wrap I ordered is a gift for my boyfriend and he will love them.  He hates the fact of wasting paper coffee sleeves and how many trees get chopped down to make them so it is the perfect gift!”

Tray Friendship Tea Tabard and Kap

If you use coffee cozies, tea cosies, and cup lids to keep your drinks hot, you won’t have to keep reheating your drinks. That means you save electricity.

Kup Kollar Koffee Kozee

Put Thinsulate insulated coffee or tea cozies on your pitchers of iced drinks and cup sleeves on your cold glasses. The ice cubes won’t melt as fast. You save water because you won’t have to add ice to keep your drinks cold.

Kream Kollar Red Hats

Using an  insulated wrap on pints of ice-cream save trees because you won’t wrap paper towels around the carton to protect your fingers from the cold!

Reading Helen Mirren’s “In the Frame” at The French Press in Lakewood, CO

I discovered The French Press in Lakewood, CO while staying in the Hampton Inn Denver West Federal Center. The coffee shop is a short walk across the parking lot.

I loved the Mountain Gold Rooibus Red loose tea with orange and cinnamon flavors that lingered on the back of my throat. The friendly staff member suggested I try a new dessert called a brioche with chocolate custard. The custard of this yummy dessert contained chocolate chips!

I sipped my hot tea and began reading British actor Helen Mirren’s autobiography “In the Frame.” The book is very interesting, with many documented letters and photos of her childhood, family, and career. It’s not your usual Hollywood tell all book. My Kup Kap kept my tea hot as I read about this fascinating lady.

The Cupping Room Café Restaurant & Bar SoHo, NYC

After unpacking at the Hampton Inn in Manhattan-SoHo, we searched for a restaurant still open at 10:00 pm. A short walk from the hotel, we found The Cupping Room Café Restaurant & Bar. We always pack our Kup Kollars and Kup Kaps to enjoy iced tea and hot coffee wherever we go!

He was surprised when we answered “Yes.” When you start a company called Koffee Kompanions, you can’t help learning the term!

Tim shared several helpful hints about NYC and answered our touristy questions with a smile. I told him he was debunking the myth that NYC was an unfriendly city. He replied, “We stopped the unfriendliness during the 80”s!”  We saw Tim three more times while enjoying food at The Cupping Room. He continued to share interesting tidbits about himself, the restaurant, and the city throughout the week. Tim is a great ambassador for NYC!

The Cupping Room Café is L-shaped with two entrances. This is the bar entrance on Broome Street. The front window opens so you can sit at a table near the sidewalk but not on the sidewalk. Tim planted the beautiful flowers in the window box.

MiGo tumbler with cup sleeve

cup lid coffee tea tisane Thinsulate insulation                                                                                                                                  I needed to wait in a clinic while Perry had hand surgery. I packed my coffee knitting bag with a knitting project, magazine, snacks, miGo tumbler with ice, and a water bottle filled with Celestial Seasonings blueberry tisane. I put a Kup Kollar Grande on the tumbler and a small Kollar on the tea bottle to hold in the cold. The Kollars also absorbed all the condensation so nothing in the bag was wet!

Laptops in coffee shops

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

lap top coffee shop                                                                                        People enjoy sitting at the counters along the walls in coffee shops while working or playing on their laptops. They can take a break by looking through the window at the street theater or outdoor surroundings. Often times the sunlight comes beaming hotly through the window melting the ice in their cold drinks causing a watery taste. The take-out cup soon sits in a puddle caused by the condensation when hot air touches a cold surface. Using a Thinsulate insulated Kup Kollar will solve the problem by slowing down the ice melt and soaking up the condensation!
